Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court PHC on Monday suspended the sentence of two former MPAs in
Fake degree case and accepted their bail applications for release them from the jails.
Peshawar High Court also accepted the bail application of another MPA Javid Tarakai in dual nationality case.
Ex-Minister for sports and archaeology Syed Aqil Shah was jailed for one year along with fine of three thousands and Sardar Ali was awarded sentence of three years along with fine for fake degree case.
Aqil Shah and Sardar Ali as well as Javid Tarakai had filed an appeal in Peshawar High Court against the decision of Additional and Session judge. A single bench of Chief Justice of Dost Mohammad Khan had accepted their applications and suspended their sentence till the case decided in high court.
Meanwhile lawyers of Syed Aqil Shah had submitted an application on behalf of Aqil Shah in election tribunal seeking permission for their client to contest election from Pk4 Peshawar.
