KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines on the ninth day of its Hajj Operation operated five special hajj flights while carrying around 2,000 Hujjaj to the Holy Land. On Tuesday, PIA’s PK2117 carrying 502 Hujjaj left Karachi at 6.25AM, from Peshawar PK2615 carrying 329 at 09.20AM, another flight from Peshawar PK2017 carrying 327 at 2.00PM, from Multan PK2317 carrying 503 at 7.35PM and from Quetta PK2717 took off at 10.00PM carrying 329 pilgrims to holy land.
The departure and arrival of all flights was on time, PIA Spokesperson said here. Till now the total uplift of intending pilgrims stand at 17,500 by forty two hajj flights.
So far, five Hajj flights from Karachi carried 1,926, nine flights from Lahore 4,457; nine flights from Islamabad 4,311; ten flights from Peshawar 3,527; five flights from Quetta 1,643 and three flights from Multan carried 1,508 Hujjaj to Saudi Arabia.
On Wednesday, 18th September, a total of four special flights are scheduled to operate; one each from Karachi, Peshawar, Multan and Quetta, PIA Spokesperson concluded.
