PM Dr. Paul Bhatti Calls on PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that government believes in promoting interfaith harmony and has established a separate Ministry of National Harmony to facilitate the minorities.

The Prime Minister expressed these views in a meeting with Advisor on National Harmony Dr. Paul Bhatti at the PM’s House on Thursday.

The Prime Minister said that Islam enjoins its followers to protect minorities and allows them freedom to practice their faith.

The Advisor apprised the Prime Minister about various projects under implementation by the Ministry of National Harmony.

He also apprised him about steps taken by the Ministry for the welfare of minorities in the country.
