PM Minister for Professional & Technical Training meets the Prime Minister

Islamabad: Minister for Professional and Technical Training, Sheikh Waqas Akram called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf here Tuesday and apprised him about various steps taken by the Ministry for promotion of education and professional training in the country.

The Minister also briefed the Prime Minister about the Government of Pakistan and UNESCO’s organized event in support of Girls’ Right to Education, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 10 December 2012.

The Prime Minister said that President of Pakistan’s visit to Paris in connection with the event and his announcement of US$ 10 million donation for a global “Malala Fund for Girls Education” aimed at raising worldwide donations for school going girls has been widely appreciated at the international level.

It also manifested the commitment of the Government for promotion of education in general and of girls in particular, added the Prime Minister.

The Minister also apprised the Prime Minister about recent development in the National Internship Programme initiated by the government for the youth of the country.
