Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting where the security situation in Pakistan was reviewed. This meeting was convened in wake of recent terror incidents in Bannu, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Mastung and Karachi.
Chief of the Army Staff briefed the Prime Minister about the existing security situation in the country. Different existing terror related legislations were also reviewed.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Defence Khawaja Asif, Minister of Interior Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rasheed, Mr. Ishaq Dar, Minister Finance, Mr. Tariq Fatmi Special Assistant to PM, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Lt General Zahir-ul-Islam DG ISI, Lt. General Ashfaq Nadeem CGS, Maj General Amir Riaz DG MO and Maj Gen Sarfaraz Sattar DG MI.
