Police action on Sindh University employees condemned

Khairpur: The office bearers of Shah Abdul Latif University Teachers Society (SALUTS) Dr Noor Shah Bukhari, Dr Aslam Memon, Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, Dr Amir Ahmed Khuhro, Dr A.D Jumani, Ishrat Ali Mirani and others in their join statement on Thursday, strongly condemned the brutal police action against employees of University of Sindh who were peacefully demanding their rights.

They demanded from higher authorities the immediate action and conduct independent inquiry of the incident.

Separately, Prof Dr. Parveen Shah Vice Chancellor has bifurcated the Examination Wing to streamline the examination work of University. It is worth mentioning that the number of external candidates is increasing from 60,000 to 70,000 annually. In order to redress the grievances of students and public at large, the two examination wings have been established.

Prof Dr. Syed Asif Ali Shah has been appointed as Controller Examinations (Annual Side), while Mr. Barkatullah Qureshi has been appointed as Controller Examinations (Semester Side).
