Police asked to make Eid contingency plan in view of crime analysis

Karachi: Inspector General Police Sindh Shahid Nadeem Baloch has asked the Sindh police to chalk out a contingency plan for the Eidul Azha keeping in view the crime analysis and consult with all stakeholders so that the life and property of citizens could be safeguarded.

He said the code of conduct for collection of hides of sacrificial animals should be implemented in letter and spirit, while police patrolling, picketing, and random snap checking should be conducted at police station level. He said all main and link roads should also be properly patrolled.

He said a police helpline should be formed at police zone level. He said sharing of information and coordination with other law enforcing agencies is necessary to control crime and make the Eid contingency plan a success. He also ordered to keep the reserve platoons of police in alert level so that they could be used swiftly when needed.
