Police ordered to accelerate targeted actions

KARACHI: Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo has directed police to expedite targeted actions in the city to control crimes and maintain law & order situation.

He expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of police in taking steps, particularly in snap checking. He directed DIGS of East, West and South Zones to widen the circle of snap checking in the limits of all police stations and the areas affected crimes.

The snatching and theft of vehicles and other crimes should be overcome, he said. Additional IG Karachi also directed DIGs to take departmental action against those policemen showing negligence in duty and controlling crimes.
