Police recover trader, arrest abductors

KARACHI: Pirabad police on Tuesday took a swift action and recovered a marble trader, Khurram Ibrahim, just hours after his abduction from outside his office in Mianwali Colony, within the remits of Pirabad police station in the metropolis.

SHO Pirabad, Abdul Moeed, told PPI that unidentified motorcyclists intercepted Khurram Ibrahim outside his office in Mianwali Colony and took him away on the motorcycle. “Ibrahim was a former office bearer of All Pakistan Marble Industry Association.”

The SHO said that the police carried out raids in different areas of Manghopir and recovered the trader after a brief crossfire with the abductors in Kunwari Colony area of Manghopir.

He said that the accused were arrested by police and the abductee was recovered unharmed from their custody. The accused were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
