Politics: Hafiz Hussain resigns from MYC’s secretary general seat

Islamabad: JUI-F leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmad has resigned from the seat of secretary general of Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC) on Thursday. He presented his resignation in the meeting of Executive Council of MYC chaired by Acting President of MYC Allama Sajid Naqvi.

Hafiz Hussain Ahmad stated this while briefing the media persons after the meeting of Milli Yakjehti Council. Acting President of MYC Allama Sajid Naqvi, Jamaat-i-Islami leader Liaqat Bloch and other leaders were also present on the occasion.

Allama Sajid Naqi said that the main agenda of Executive Council meeting was to pay tribute to former Jamaat-i-Islami Chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed. He said that meeting had acknowledged the services of Qazi Hussain Ahmed for promotion of peace and harmony in the country. He said that MYC would decide the nominations of President and secretary general of MYC in the next general meeting.

He said that MYC always promotes religious harmony and peace among society. Answering a question, he said that MYC was playing a vital role for elimination of sectarianism and terrorism in the country. Liaqat Baloch has reiterated that MYC would continue makes efforts for elimination of terrorism from the country.
