SIALKOT: The PMLN government will make all out sincere efforts to ensure the timely completion of Nandipur power generation plant project in the stipulated period to be given by the government, saying that the early completion of this project was the need of the day which would also be helpful in curbing the menace of the prolonged energy crisis.
Shahid Riaz Gondal Advisor to Punjab CM on Energy and Power stated this while talking the newsmen at Nandipur after visiting the site of Nandipur Hydel Power Project located at the junction of both neighbouring Sialkot and Gujranwala districts here.
He said that some elements created hurdles in the completion of this projects for their personal gains in past.
On this occasion, Director Nandipur Power Project Hafiz Muhammad Jamil told the visiting Advisor that they had been working on the two units out of three units of this project and as many as 9 megawatts electricity was being produced through these units.
The third unit would be established here in December 2013 during the annual closure of the linked canals which would increase its power producing capacity to 13 megawatts from existing 9 megawatts, he added….
