PPP will win next polls: Haq

KARACHI: Member Executive Committee of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Pir Mazharul Haq said on Friday that next general elections should be held on time, and if they are not held on schedule, then it would be a tragedy for the country.

Talking to media at the office of Election Commissioner Sindh, the PPP leader said next general elections would be a test of all political leaders and Justice (Retd) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim, who has not made any compromise on principles.

Pir Mazhar said political leaders should not fight with each other and work with unity in the interest of country and citizens. It will promote democracy, he said. Haq said candidates of PPP would win next general elections. No other system, except democracy, would succeed in Pakistan, he concluded.
