PPPP Chitral workers not happy with party ticket decision

Chitral: Senior workers of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) have shown reservation on giving party ticket of PK 89 and NA 32 Chitral constituencies.

Addressing a press conference former district Naib Nazim Sultan Shah, Saeed Khan Lal, Haji Inzar Gul, former Nazim Union council Sheshi Koh Sher Muhammad, Sardar Muhammad Khan, Haji Muhammad Shifa president Trucks Owners association, Habib Hussain Mughal president Trade Union Chitral, former Nazim UC Ayun Rahmat Elahi and other senior workers said they are loyal workers of PPP but central leadership never consult with them for distribution of party tickets for general election 2013.

They said we tried time and again to convince central leadership to distribute party tickets after proper consulting with workers but they ignored us.

They said former Tehsil Nazim Sartaj Ahmad Khan is a popular leader of Chitral and that is why we proposed him for PK 89 of provincial assembly seat.

Haji Inzar Gul and Sher Muhammad said that during general election 2008 PPP also ignored its worker and its candidate failed to win national assembly seat. The said that they belong to Gujar tribe having 12000 votes which will be cast in favour of Sartaj Ahmad Khan.

They gave their party leadership deadline of two days to give party ticket for PK 89 to Sartaj Ahmad Khan, instead of Saleem Khan.

Former Naib Nazim Sultan Shah announced to withdraw his nomination from PK 89 in favour of Sartaj Ahmad Khan.
