‘Prayer day’ offered on JI appeal

Karachi: On the appeal of Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami JI Syed Munawar Hasan a ‘Youm-e-Dua’ or prayer day was observed in Karachi and other parts of Sindh province on Friday.

Special prayers were offered in Jumma prayers, while prayer leaders in their sermons highlighted the problems of lawlessness, target killings, terrorism and prayed Allah, the Almighty for safety and prosperity of the nation and country.

On the occasion JI Karachi Chief Muhammad Hussain Mehanti said whole Pakistan is facing serious problems, adding killing of innocent people being carried out from Karachi to Peshawar and Lahore. We have forgotten our God and as a result facing these problems, he said adding begging pardon from God is an only way to safe ourselves from these setbacks.
