Prime Minister takes notice of murder of Fakhar-ul-Islam

Islamabad: Prime Minister Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso has taken serious notice of the murder of Mr. Fakhar-ul-Islam, MQM candidate for the seat of National Assembly from Hyderabad.

The Prime Minister directed the authorities to submit the report in this regard within 24 hours indicating security lapse, if any, leading to the killing of the candidate.

He has further issued instructions that the security of all candidates participating in the general elections may be beefed up to ensure that such incidents are avoided.

The Prime Minister has reiterated the resolve of the caretaker government to hold elections and make all necessary arrangements to ensure that they are held in a conducive environment.
