Problems of newspapers to be solved on priority basis

Karachi: Secretary Information Sindh Dr Zulfiqar Ali Shalwani on Tuesday said that the issues of CPNE would be solved on priority basis and Sindh government had taken many initiatives for the welfare of the journalists, including financial assistance to ailing journalists for their treatment.

During his visit to CPNE office, he said that the financial assistance for Siddique Baloch announced by Chief Minister Sindh would be given to him very soon.

He said that the government was fully aware of the problems of newspapers and doing its best to resolve them. On this occasion the office bearers of CPNE urged the Secretary Information to provide building for CPNE House, Shaheed Journalist Gallery and Editors Club. Provincial Secretary assured them that every possible efforts would be made in this regard.

Director General Sindh Information Muhammad Yaseen Shar, Director Press Information Muhammad Yousif Kaboro, Deputy Director Advertisement Anita Baloch and Editors Waqar Yousif Azeemi, Aamir Mehmood, Qazi Asad Abid, Wamiq Zuberi, Mukhtar Aqil, Ilyas Shakir, Ghulam Nabi Chandio and others were also present in the meeting and the issues related to the newspapers were discussed in detailed.
