Process of obtaining, filing of nomination papers completed

QUETTA: Process of obtaining and filing of nomination papers in Balochistan for NA, PA and seats reserved for women, minority and others completed today.

More than one thousand candidates filed nomination papers for provincial assembly constituencies. Of these, 500 papers have been scrutinized.

Lashkari Raisani (PML-N), Ahmed Nawaz (BNP), Nasrullah Zere of PMAP and others filed their nomination papers. Candidates of almost all the parties including PMAP, JUI, BNP, JUI-N, Tehreek Insaf, PPP, PML-N and others filed their nomination papers form their respective constituencies.

PML-N, PPP and BNP as well as former provincial ministers were in the offing to issue party tickets at the time of scrutiny of papers. But they lack of any slogan to go to the people. Nationalist and opposition parties have entered the arena with slogan of ending corruption and making accountable those made corruptions under the cover of development process.

More than 150 candidates have filed nomination papers against Women and minorities seats.

Election Commission sources said those failed to produce party tickets on the day of scrutiny of papers their nomination would be rejected.
