QUETTA: Provincial Secretary Home Akbar Hussain Durrani has said that full steps were underway for restoration of law and order in Balochistan and net was tightening around anti social elements. Government writ would be maintained at every cost.

He was addressing a meeting on law and order in Quetta and other parts of the province here Sunday.

Commissioner Quetta division, CCPO, DIG Operations, DIG Investigation, Deputy Commissioner from different districts and police officials attended.

Meeting reviewed matters relating to elimination of crimes and arrest of criminals involved and decisions taken.

Meeting also reviewed intelligence network and mutual coordination and took decision. It also decided facility for safe journey of people along national highways and security to NATO oil tankers and trailers and decided no leniency would be tolerated in this regard.

Secretary Home said that security to life and property of people and facility of peace and order is responsibility of government and no lapse would be accepted. Police and other law enforcement agencies have been given special task in this connection. He said net has been tightened against criminal and their supporters and soon they would be unveiled. He also appealed to the people to cooperate with the government in this regard.
