There are number of major events which exemplified this misplaced judgment. Some of the most notable ones include the British Petroleum Oil Spill in the 2010 – Deepwater Horizon incident and the case of Ford Pinto exploding due to a defective fuel system. The outcome in both cases was devastating as it cause irreparable damage to their reputations, and cost billions of dollars in losses.’
