PTA continues hunger strike

Talhar: Over 20 members of Primary Teachers Association (PTA) continued a hunger strike in front of National Press Club on the seventh consecutive day in Talhar on Wednesday for acceptance of their demands.

Speaking on the occasion, PTA Talhar President Mir Zafarullah Jamali said that no teachers union had ever supported ghost teachers. “PTA and other associations are sincere for developing education and have always stressed the need for presence of teachers in the schools,” he said.

He said that secretary education was reluctant to resolve the teachers issues, therefore, Sindh chief minister should intervene and help meet the demands of PTA.
