PTI demands early legislation for cantonments

KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) lawmaker Samer Ali Khan on Sunday accused federal government for making hurdles in legislation for cantonments and urged it to make laws for holding local bodies elections in cantonments as soon as possible.

He was talking to different delegations belonging to cantonment areas located in his constituency PS-113.

MPA Khan said that not only riches but people belong to middle and poor classes are also living in condiments areas and facing different civic problems but the government has deprived them of their right to elect their representatives who could solve their problems.

He warned the government that if it did not legislate for LB election in cantonments forthwith, PTI would be compelled to start a protest campaign.
