Qaim Ali Shah meets Governor Ibad, welcomes him back

Karachi: Sind Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, accompanied by law minister Ayaz Soomro, information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon and Rafique Engineer, visited Governor’s House on Thursday evening and held meeting with Governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad Khan who has returned after withdrawing his resignation.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah lauded the decision of withdrawing resignation and hoped it would help maintain harmony among different political and social circles and bring stability in the province. He said Governor Ibad had always worked as a bridge between different political circles and his role is direly needed in prevailing circumstances.

Chief Minister also praised MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s decision and termed it in the best interests of Sind and the country.

Governor Ibad said on this occasion that he accepted the directives of Altaf Hussain and would do whatever he could in the greater interests of country and nation. He thanked Altaf Hussain and President Asif Zardari for reposing trust in him. “I would need their full support in the prevailing situation,” he added.
