Rally against increasing crimes in Matli town

Matli, Sindh: A large number of residents of Peoples Colony, Kolhi Goth and surrounding areas as well as the activists of social organizations took out a rally and staged demonstration outside local press club to protest against increasing crimes and police failure.

The demonstrators said that incidents of six house robberies, snatching of a car and four motorcycles and looting a wedding party travelling in a bus have taken place in last two days but the police remains inactive.

Kishore Kolhi and Achar Kolhi of peoples colony, Malho Kolhi of village Bhaad Kolhi, Kirshan Kolhi, Misri Kolhi and Malho Kolhi of another village and Krishan and other victims of wedding party told the stories how they were robbed.

Rafique Memon, president of Matli Ittehad, Ali Raza Sodho of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz and other leaders addressing the protesters condemned police for its failure to combat the crimes. They alleged police of receiving share from the criminals.

They said police didn’t take action even in house robberies at the houses of seven other citizens a week back.
