Rally staged to condemn rising price hike

NAUNDERO: Civil society activists staged a peaceful rally and a protest demonstration at Jinnah Bagh Chowk in Larkana on Friday against unprecedented price hike and poverty.

The participants, including children chanted slogans against the rulers for their failure in controlling prices of daily use items including vegetables.

Speaking on the occasion, Habibullah Shaikh, Wali Muhammad Solangi, Hakim Solangi, Yousif Leghari and Sakhi Kalhoro said that elected members had badly failed to control price hike as a result, poor people were dying like Ethiopian people due to poverty and high prices of vegetables and other eatable items of daily use which has broken the bone of the daily earners.

They warned that they would enlarge the scope of their protest demonstration if the rulers failed to curb the prices of essential commodities. They further added that Price Control Committee should be banned after its failure in controlling price hike.
