Ramazan Bazar fails to deliver despite heavy subsidy

Chakwal: The Ramzan Bazar established by the District Government on order of Punjab government were failed to deliver despite the Rs 4 billion subsidy have been allocated for these bazaars to provide essential commodities to the common people during the month of Holy Ramzan.

The rates of the essential commodities were not reasonable as compared to the open market and the quality was also not up to the standard. However the utility stores have attracted the attention of the common man and the Ramzan package was available at subsidized rates however the list of items that were publicized were not available in abundance.

There were complaints that the traders and the shop keepers were the major beneficiaries and they were taking these items in a bulk and thus depriving the right of the common man. People demanded from CM Punjab to take a serious notice of the working of Ramzan bazaar.
