KARACHI: The government is mulling over to establish a ‘rapid deployment force’ for the I I Chundrigar Road, the Pakistani Wall Street, to make the area crime free. In this regard a focal group is being formed comprised on all stakeholders including police, district management, Karachi Metropolitans Corporations and professional bodies of bankers and traders.
A highlevel meeting on I Chundrigar Road security issue, in the office of commissioner Karachi, was told that modern surveillance cameras would be installed on all buildings of the road and they would linked to the digital monitoring systems of police and KMC. This would ensure a swift response in case of any untoward situation.
In this regard the meeting of the stakeholders would be held on August 01 in the office of Inspector General Police IGP Sindh, also situated on the I I Chundrigar Road in which further details about the focal group and proposed rapid deployment force would be announced
