Refusal to appear before PAC shows something wrong: Sharjeel Memon

Karachi: Pakistan Peoples’ Party’s Central Deputy Secretary Information and Provincial Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon said that Supreme Court Registrar is a servant of the government and his refusal to appear before Public Accounts Committee shows that there is something wrong at the bottom.

In a statement issued here on Friday, he said that when every department was answerable to Public Accounts Committee, why the Supreme Court should object.

Minister added, ‘Supreme Court is answerable for the peoples’ taxes. Those who talk about rule of Law, are they above the law?’

He said that refusal to appear before Public Accounts Committee was insult to the parliament and the masses as well.
