Relatives have demanded of Governor to take notice of delaying in provision

Peshawar: Relatives of a bomb blast in Jamrud Khyber Agency have demanded of the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa KP Shaukatullah Khan to take notice of delaying in provision of compensation to the heirs of the victims of the blast.

The demand was made by the tribal people during a protest demonstration here on Sher Shah Soori Road opposite cantonment Railway Station on Saturday. Zar Ali Afridi, a representative of a civil society and AbdulKhaliq Senior Vice President SVP
president Pakistan TehrikeInsaf PTI Jamrud were leading the demos.

Holding a banner inscribed with slogans in favour of their demands and they were also raising their fullthroat slogans against Political Agent PA Khyber Agency and Federally Administered Tribal Areas FATA secretariat for using delaying tactics in giving compensation to the heirs of the victims including martyrs and maimed in that bomb blast.

Talking to newsmen on the occasion, Zar Ali said that Rs0.3million for dead and Rs0.1million for injured were announced by the then Governor to the bereaved families of the victims but despite passage of two and a half months, the relatives of victims were still deprived of the compensation.

He, therefore, demanded of the governor to ensure the compensation as soon as possible so that the injured tribesmen could get their treatment and feed their children.
