Rested and damaged pipelines to be replaced in Peshawar city soon: Farman

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering Shah Farman has said that all the rusted and damaged drinking water pipelines will be replaced with new ones in Peshawar city so that the dwellers can get clean drinking water and they can be protected from the water born diseases.

He was talking to a delegation of elite of Peshawar which called on him at his office on Wednesday. The minister PHE said the government of PTI would prove with practical deeds that as how to serve the people. He said a master plan had been prepared for keeping the city clean and provision of clean drinking water to the people. He said work on the master plan would be initiated soon.

The minister said the PTI government was very sincere in bringing better changes in all the social sectors and every effort would be made to fulfil the expectations of the people. He said they were fully aware of the people’s problems and efforts would be carried out to solve the same problems for the larger interest of the masses.

Shah Farman said Peshawar city would be turned into a model one in the public health sector. He said after successfully launching the sanitation and drinking water systems in Peshawar city, the same would also be extended to other areas.

He said corruption would not be tolerated in the PHE department and merit would be given priority in all the affairs of the department. He said attention would also be given to improve performance of the PHE department. He urged the delegation to contact the complaints cell already established in the PHE department.
