Royal CC clinches cricket tourney title

Karachi: Royal Cricket Club recorded a 23run victory against Tapal Cricket Club in the final and claimed the title of Prof. Ejaz Ahmed Faruqi Invitation Cricket Tournament here Wednesday at KCCA Stadium.

Royal CC batted first in the summit clash and put on board 156 runs, before losing all of their wickets in 30 overs. Tanvirul Haq top scored for the side with 72 runs. Babar Rahman captured four wickets while Akhtar Kian took three wickets.

Tapal CC in their turn were all bowled out in 28th over after putting on board only 133 runs. Touseef Khan with 33 runs was the top scorer for the side. Aqib Rizvi, Amjad Manzoor and Sajid Khurshid took two wickets each for the victors in the match.
