Sialkot: The district government of Sialkot on Saturday unanimously approved a tax free budget of Rs. 8 billion for the fiscal year 2013-14. Giving the details of the budget the Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu told the media persons that developmental and non-developmental expenditures have been estimated as Rs. 7.97 billion.
He said that Rs. 488 million have been allocated for bringing betterment in the condition of all the government schools and providing the missing facilities there, while, Rs. 20 million for providing medicines to the government hospitals and Rs. 6 million have been allocated for promotion of sports in district. He added that no new tax has been levied or the ratio of any existing has been increased or reduced, in this regard.
