Rulers criticised for ‘protocol to Musharraf’

KARACHI: Leader of Jamiat Ulemae Islâm Pakistan JUIP Qari Sher Afzal Khan on Monday showed his reaction over return of former president Pervez Musharraf to Pakistan as saying responsible of present government were also involved in Lal Masjid operation and killing of Benazir Bhutto.

Talking to media at Nishter Basti in Karachi, JUIP leader said return of Musharraf and protocol & security given by government to him showed that rulers are still slaves of Britain as they are giving facilities to their senders.

He alleged that the person involved in killing of people of Lal Masjid, Waziristan, Sawat and Balochistan are not deserving any discount and his return to Pakistan was violation of the constitution and Islam.

He said if leaders could not show courage, then they should resign.

Qari demanded of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to order issuance of non-bailable arrest warrants of Musharraf and provide justice to thousands of victim families.
