SBP win cricket tournament

Karachi: State Bank of Pakistan won the 11th SBP Governor’s Cup Inter Banks’ Regional Cricket Tournament 201213 by beating United Bank by 27 runs in the final played at SBP Sports Complex, North Nazimabad, Karachi.

Batting first, SBP scored 179 for 7 in 20 overs. Ehsan Ali 46 and Muhammad Afzal 43 of SBP were the main contributors. In reply, UBL could score 152 for 7 in the allotted overs. Noor Wali Khan of UBL scored a fine half century 55. M. Salman and Faraz Ahmed of SBP took 3 and 2 wickets, respectively.
