Schoolgirl rape case: Two accused remanded

KARACHI: Antiterrorism Court ATC on Monday remanded two accused in police custody for 10 days in the murder case of a thirteen years old girl, who was raped before she was killed and dumped at SeaView beach.

The teenager girl was kidnapped from her school in Azizabad on September 24 and was raped before she was suffocated to death. Her body was found at SeaView beach. Police had arrested three suspects Rema, relative of the victim’s mother, her Husband Bilal and Faisal and a case against the accused was registered under section 365B and section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code and a Anti terrorism Act, 1997 was also incorporated in the FIR.

Police on Monday produced accused Bilal and Rema before the ATCII Judge Khalida Yaseen. Investigation officer told the judge that both accused had admitted that they kidnapped the girl for ransom of Rs1million and suffocated her to death after parents of victim refused to pay ransom. Though, accused denied charge of committing rape with her; however, the police told the court that DNA test of the accused would be conducted.

Police told the judge that another accused person involved in the kidnapping and murder was still at large, but would be arrested soon. The court directed police to arrest other accused who are on the run.

The judge remanded the accused in police custody till October, 9 and directed the police to produce accused on next date of hearing.
