Security forces raid journalist’s house, BNP leader

KHARAN: Security forces raided the residences of District President BNP and Journalist and others here Saturday and searched their houses.

According to deitlas, security forces this morning raided the houses of District President BNP Haji Ghulam Hussain Baloch, Journalist Haji Muhammad Arif and others and searched their houses. They manhandled them and took away computer, camera and other goods from the house of Journalist Muhammad Arif.

President BNP and former Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Akthar Mengal, Senator R Sana Baloch in their telephonic talk with journalists at Kharan Press Club condemned attacks of security forces in the houses of notables and disgrace sanctity of chadar and char deevari, manhandling elderly people, their parents and loot of goods just for nothing. They termed this action as continuation of ongoing excesses in Balochistan and said security forces and rulers are frightened of struggle of BNP. They harass party workers by such dirty actions to cover up their failures. They said government policies in Balochistan have failed. People are very much angry ovr these policies.

PMLN leader MNA General R Abdul Qadir Baloch also strongly condemned the raid and said he very well knew Haji Ghulam Hussain Baloch and his family. They are same and dignified citizens doing peaceful politics. Raid of security forces against such people and adopting negative attitude against them is to distance BNP from Pakistani politics. Separating nationalist leaders doing politics in Pakistani framework by force is compelling them to go to mountains. General Qadir said if this attitude of raids on political workers, sane people and journalists harassing them continued then not only politics would go beyond hands but it would be difficult to bring people into political mainstream.

He said he would raise voice against this incident in the National Assembly.
