Security tightened with start of Muharram

QUETTA: Security arrangements were tightened with the advent of holy Month of Muharram in Balochistan including Quetta. Section 144 has been imposed in 16 most sensitive districts from Muharram 1 to 10. Secret cameras have been installed at sensitive places to keep strict vigil on terrorists.

Provincial government has cancelled leaves of policemen during Muharram. An emergency cell has been established at Quetta Railway Station.

Law enforcers have been vested special powers to meet any emergency situation and entire city was being monitored from control rooms.

FC has erected nakas at important roads of the metropolis and people and vehicles are being searched strictly.

A large number of police and FC troops have been deployed for security of mosques and imam bargahs.
