SESSI spends Rs165.2mn on healthcare of workers

Karachi: Sindh Employees’ Social Security Institution (SESSI) spent Rs165.2mn on healthcare of its covered workers and their dependents in the month of December 2012.

SESSI is the biggest social security scheme of the registered workers benefiting 3.9million workers and their dependents.

Last month the SESSI spent Rs165.2mn on healthcare, besides paid Rs4.6mn on their monetary benefits. Last month 1344341 patients visited the outpatient departments of the SESSI medical centers, 14213 patients were sent to specialists and 247 major surgeries conducted in SESSI hospitals.

The institution received Rs194.2mn last month from 28192 registered industrial and commercial institutions.
