KARACHI: Seven more dengue viral fever cases were reported in Karachi on Wednesday, increasing the patients’ toll to 366 since January 2013, said Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh.
Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick Focal Person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh said that 376 dengue fever cases were reported in Sindh province since January 2013, out of them 366 occurred in Karachi alone, while 10 in rest of Sindh.
He said three dengue patients died owing to the disease in Karachi this year. Mullick said that 14 dengue patients were still admitted to different hospitals of the city and seven new cases have been reported in Karachi on July 3, out of which six patients were admitted to hospitals, while one patient was treated in OPD. However, four patients were discharged from hospitals after treatment.
