Karachi: As many as seven presidential hopefuls submitted their nomination papers for the presidential election of Pakistan in the Sindh High Court on Wednesday.
Sindh High Court SHC Chief Justice, Mushir Alam presiding officer received seven nomination papers. After the announcement of the election schedule of presidential election in Pakistan, a total of 25 aspirants for presidential election received the nomination papers from SHC and only seven of them submitted the same.
Election Commission of Pakistan has set July 24 as last date for submitting the nomination papers. On the last date of submission of papers, Arif Alvi, Member National Assembly belonging to Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf, submitted nomination papers of Justice retired Wajihuddin Ahmed.
Other aspirants who submitted their nomination papers were Haji Khan Muhammad Lashari, Muhammad Shakir, Muhammad Shahid Awan, Shakeel Ahmed, Shamim Ahmed and Qadir Ahmed.
