Karachi: The Sind High Court SHC on Thursday issued notice to the home secretary, Inspector General of Police, director general of Rangers and other officials in petition against the alleged kidnapping of petitioner’s son by the Rangers personnel.
A division bench of SHC headed by Chief Justice Mushir Alam, also issued notice to the advocate general and prosecutor general of Sind and adjourned the hearing till April 4.
Petitioner, Lalsher submitted in petition that his son, Dost Muhammad was proceeding to home after the offering Juma prayer when he was whisked away outside the mosque on 7.9.2012 by the rangers personnel. The petitioner said that a fake criminal case has been registered against his son and four others at the Khuwaja Ajmer Nagri police station.
He prayed to court to direct the law enforcing agencies to produce his son in the court. The court directed the police to place information before court regarding involvement of his son in crime.
