KARACHI: The Sindh High Court SHC has directed Director General of Rangers Sindh to recover and produce missing man allegedly picked by the paramilitary troops during raids in different parts of the city.
A division bench headed by Justice Maqbool Baqar directed home secretary, provincial police chief, director general of Rangers and other police officials to file comments within two weeks.
The petitioner, Khawaz Alam, submitted that ranger’s personnel forced into his house on February 11 and took away his son without any plausible reason. He alleged in the petition that ranger’s personnel had asked him to arrange five lac rupees for release of his son. He prayed to court to direct respondents to produce detainee in the court.
