SHCBA demands rehabilitation of Lahore fire victims

Karachi: The Sind High Court Bar Association SHCBA on Monday condemned Badami Bagh incident and unanimously passed a resolution demanding immediate rehabilitation of the incident victims.

In the resolution, SHCBA said that founder of our country in his speech delivered on the September 11, 1947 declared that there would be no discrimination in the country on the basis of caste, creed and religion. It was categorically declared that Hindus, Christians and Sikhs are free to follow their respective religions.

SHCBA pointed out that constitution of Pakistan guarantees religious rights and protection to the people of all religion. It said that Badami Bagh incident had sent negative message not to countrywide but also worldwide.

The bar association calls upon the government to take all steps to protect the lives and properties of the citizens to fulfil their constitutional obligation.
