Shikarpur blast death toll rises to three; 3 more injured shifted to Karachi

RATODERO: Shikarpur bomb blast death toll rises to three as one of the explosion injured, Sadoro Shaikh, died in the wee hours of Tuesday at Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Larkana. Three out of nine blast injured admitted at CMCH Larkana have been shifted to Burns Centre of Civil Hospital Karachi on the directives of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah. The shifted injured were Zafar Mirani, Deedar Mirani and Nawab Halepoto.

The blast occurred near the shrine of Ghulam Shah Ghazi within the limits of Lakhi Ghulam Shah police station in Shikarpur district on Monday night in which Gaddi Nasheen Syed Hajan Shah also received injuries.
According to Medical Superintendent CMCH Larkana, Dr Insaf Magsi, over 50% of bodies’ of the injured were burnt and the chief minister ordered their shifting to Karachi to save their lives as the required burn treatment facilities are not available at CMCH Larkana.

The MS said that the chief minister had ordered to provide special attention and treatment to the blast victims as the government would bear all cost. Other injured persons who have been shifted to CMCH include Ali Bahar Jagirani, Rahimdad Sethar and two others.

It was the second bomb blast in six days in Larkana Division. On February 20, the motorcade of another spiritual leader Syed Ghulam Hussain Shah was attacked with a bomb near Jacobabad in which his grandson Syed Shafique Shah was killed and some others were injured.
