Sialkot Christians community observe strike against Badami Bagh Lahore incident

Sialkot: The Christians community on Sunday observed a complete strike in District Sialkot against the incident of burning of the houses of Christian community by a mob at Badami Bagh Lahore.

They took out rallies and staged the sit-ins in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Uggoki, Pasrur, Badiana, Chawinda and the surrounding areas to lodge their strong protest against brutal incident of setting ablaze as many as 200 houses of the Christians in Lahore.

The protesting Christians wore the black arm bandages and they were carrying the banners and placards inscribing the antiterrorism slogans and demanding protection of the lives, properties and the rights of the minorities especially the Christians in the country.

They marched on all the main intercity roads, besides, staging agitational sit-ins there in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial , Uggoki, Pasrur Chawinda , Badiana and surrounding areas.

In Sialkot, the local journalists also staged a protest demonstration in front of the Sialkot Press Club. They strongly condemned the brutal incident of burning the houses of the Christians in Lahore. They expressed solidarity with the Christian community, in this regard.
