Sindh CM vows to ensure fair polls

KARACHI: Former High Commissioner of Pakistan at United Kingdom UK Abdul Kaddar Jaffar called on Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice Retd Zahid Kurban Alvi this afternoon at CM House.

Matters related to mutual interest were discussed during meeting. Talking about the present law and order situation and May 11th polls, Alvi reiterated his firm resolves to maintain law and order situation across the province with especial focus on Karachi. He said that rangers, police and other law enforcement agencies have been directed to utilize all resources and manpower to ensure peaceful and conducive atmosphere for general elections.

He said that present interim government would ensure free, fair and transparent elections at any cast.

Talking about educational activities in Sindh province, he informed Abdul Kaddar Jaffar that besides big cities, better educational facilities are being provided to small towns and remote areas of the province. He said that private sector should also play its due role for promotion of education in Sindh.
