KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan on Friday inaugurated 761st Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar at his shrine in Sehwan Sharif.
The governor visited the mazar, laid floral wreath and offered fateha amid presence of thousands of devotees who came there from different parts of the country to pay homage to the Sufi saint of Sindh.
In his message, the governor said that Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was a spiritual saint of Sindh. The saint of Sindh played vital role in boosting Sufism of Islam besides preaching message of saints’ affection and peace.
The governor said that Sindh is the land of saints and Sufis who gave people a lesson of passing life on right way of Islam. “The education of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar is also the mirror of right, truth, love, sacrifice, sympathy and justice.”
He said that the terrorism and extremism had harmed Islamic message, hence, it was mandatory to spread the message of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar because his education gives the lesson to change hatred into affection.
The governor asked the nation to spread the message of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar for development and welfare of the country and the nation.
