Sindh IGP orders speeding up targeted operation

Karachi: Inspector General of Police, Sind Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari has ordered transfer as well as taking departmental action against the officers and other personnel for their slackness or on receiving complaints against them by law-abiding citizens.

Presiding over a meeting of high ranking police officers here the IGP also called for weekly detailed reports in this regard.

Reviewing the law and order situation, he directed for speeding up raids and targeted operation against the criminals in the light of investigation reports and information gathered through interrogation of arrested criminals in Karachi.

IGP further ordered detailed reports within 24 hours on the performance of Karachi range police, CID, Crime Branch, SIU, AVCC and Anti Car Lifting Cell. These reports should contain information about actions taken, accused arrested, cases resolved, weapons recovered, cases pending and the cases challaned in the courts.

Additional IGs Special Branch, CID, DIGs, AIGs, ADIGs and other high officials attended the meeting.
