SNGPL cancels licenses of six CNG stations

Sialkot: The special checking teams of SNGPL have cancelled licenses of as many as six CNG stations, besides, sealing them in Sialkot district found stealing the gas there.

Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu told media persons that district administration of Sialkot has started implementation on a comprehensive anti power and gas theft plan to halt the theft gas and electricity.

Meanwhile, Superintending Engineer Gepco Sialkot Zahur Ahmed Chohan told that the Gepco had detected the theft of as many as 26.8 million units in Sialkot district during the last year.

He said that the theft of electricity was not there in urban and industrial areas of Sialkot district. However, he said that the complaints of electricity theft were being reported from the rural areas especially in the electrical connections installed with the agricultural tube wells, he added.
