Karachi: Pakistan U-19 cricket team recorded a convincing eight-wicket victory against Afghanistan counterparts – thanks Imam-ul-Haq, who played an impressive and unbeaten 106-run knock on Tuesday at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Afghanistan’s junior cricket team is touring Pakistan to prepare for next month’s important U19 World Cup assignment.
Afghanistan batted first in the match and put on board 180 runs before they were all bowled in 45 overs. Hashmatullah Sahidi batted well for the side scoring 58 runs. Kamran Ghulam bowled lethally and captured a four-wicket haul while Zafar Gohar took three wickets.
Pakistan in response reached the victory total in 30.5 overs with eight wickets in hand. Imam-ul-Haq batted brilliantly and smashed five boundaries and two sixes. Saud Shakeel also played an unbeaten 53-run knock. Skipper Sami Aslam had a bad as we could score only 11 runs.
