Sports: Hockey: Indo-Pak bilateral hockey series next year

Karachi: Pakistan Hockey Federation PHF and Hockey India HI will organize bilateral test match series next year.

Secretary HI Dr. Narinder Batra is scheduled to visit Lahore on 29th December along with his wife to reach an agreement.

PHF chief Qasim Zia and secretary Asif in the past had also visited India to hold talks with their counterparts in India in order to resume hockey ties between the two countries.

The cricket team of the two countries will play against each other during Pakistan’s tour of India next week.

After Mumbai attack in 2008, tension between the two neighbours grew and as result sporting ties between the two sides were also halted.

But slowly the situation is slowly stabilizing as sportsmen from both sides have started to come across the border for to participate in tournaments.
